Job Overview:
The Business Process Writer 2 is a key member of our NJ warehouse facility, responsible for crafting and maintaining standard operating procedures that drive efficiency and excellence.
This role involves working closely with management teams to gather essential information, documenting process flows, detailing steps and instructions, and ensuring consistency across all process manuals.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Write and review comprehensive manuals and standard operating procedures outlining business processes in detail.
- Tour the facility by department, interacting with teams to understand process flows and daily operations through interviews, meetings, and direct observation.
- Ensure all business processes are documented in a standardized format, presented in an easily digestible format, and readily available to all users with accurate and updated information at all times.
- Conduct root cause analysis and identify solutions to improve current processes.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Exceptional reading and writing skills.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- Prior knowledge of SOP writing.
- Analytical thinking and ability to break down processes into their simplest details.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Expertise with Microsoft Suite and Teams.
- Prior experience in warehouse fulfillment/distribution environment preferred.
- Ability to travel between NJ and NYC locations may be needed.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Thursday: 9am - 6pm
Friday: 9am - 2:30pm
