Carpenter - 1 years experience required
B & H Builders is seeking permanent full-time carpenters for work in the Iowa City area. We are a local residential home builder/remodeler that understands the science of building while providing value and personal service to each client. Benefits available, compensation commensurate with experience. Regular hours are Monday thru Friday 7:00am – 5:00pm.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Structural framing, setting trusses, window/door/siding installation
- Performing a variety of work assignments for renovation projects
- Maintain an organized and safe work space, daily clean-up
- Work in a team environment
- Operation of small tools and equipment including saws, drills, etc.
Education & Experience:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year carpentry experience is required. Candidates without experience will not be considered at this time. Experience in the following areas would be helpful: framing carpenter, siding installer, finish carpentry, trim carpenter, and carpenter apprentice. We will train energetic, self-motivated individuals with right work ethic.
- Capability of working in a physically demanding environment
- Ability to work at heights up to 25 feet and lift 55 pounds
- Basic hand tools required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $28.00 per hour
