Responsibilities
- Handle start-up and shut-down duties relating to packaging equipment at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Conduct preventative maintenance & cleaning of the machine daily.
- Check that each packaging machine is in good repair and works under regulations set by the company.
- Responsible for packaging integrity and quality checks on each packaging order.
- Monitor correct product weights and ensures that they are maintained throughout the shift.
- Handle/discard waste that packaging machines produce; in a safe manner.
- Monitor packaging machines by using appropriate controls to package different items.
- Load and unload items into packaging machines and remove rejected packages.
- Follow all GMPs and Safety Procedures.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
- Packaging Machine Operator Experience Required.
- Preventative Maintenance Skills Required.
- Maintenance Knowledge Preferred.
- Effective Communication Skills.
- Demonstrated Organizational Skills.
- Good Math Skills.
- Reading/Comprehension Abilities.
- Demonstrated Leadership Capabilities.
- Ability to Work Independently.
- Ability to Identify Problems and Respond Accordingly.
