WELDERS and FITTERS

Job Summary:
Welder/Fitter is responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, fitting and assembling metal components, and performing welding operations to fabricate structural steel, piping systems, and other metal products according to project specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Measure, cut, fit, and align metal components for assembly.
• Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Core welding as required.
• Fabricate and assemble structural steel, pipe, and miscellaneous metal components.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances using measuring tools.
• Operate grinders, torches, saws, and other fabrication equipment.
• Inspect completed welds and assemblies for quality and compliance.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Follow company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Assist with field installation and repair work when required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of welding and fitting experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
• Experience with structural steel, pipe fitting, or industrial fabrication.
• Knowledge of welding procedures and safety standards.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation and strong work ethic.
• Welding certifications are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to work at heights when required.
• Capable of lifting, carrying, and moving heavy materials.

Work Schedule & Hours
