Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing vehicles to meet high-quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience in auto body repair, auto restoration is preferred. The Automotive Painter will play a vital role in restoring vehicles to their optimal condition while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paint using airless spray guns, power tools, or manual techniques
- Maintain and operate various hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and effectively
- Conduct quality inspections of painted vehicles to ensure finish meets company standards
- Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks and auto estimating when required
- Follow safety protocols related to heavy lifting, chemical handling, and equipment operation
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and uphold high standards of craftsmanship
Skills
- Proven experience in auto painting, auto body repair, or dealership environments
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and auto restoration processes
- Proficiency with airless paint spraying, buffing, detailing, and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Familiarity with auto glass installation and auto estimating procedures
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work on vehicles for extended periods
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship
- Experience with dealership operations or mechanic experience is a plus
