Pipefitter Laborer – Shipyard

Position Summary
B&D Contracting is seeking dependable Pipefitter Laborers for shipyard work in Pascagoula, Mississippi. This position supports pipefitters and other shipyard craft workers by performing grinding, fire watch, cleanup, material handling, and general labor duties.
Candidates must have recent shipyard experience, previous grinding experience, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment. The ideal candidate will be dependable, safety-conscious, physically capable of performing labor-intensive duties, and able to follow instructions from supervisors and craft workers.
Responsibilities
- Assist pipefitters and other shipyard craft workers as directed.
- Perform grinding and surface preparation.
- Provide fire watch support when required.
- Move tools, materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Clean and organize work areas.
- Remove debris and dispose of waste materials properly.
- Follow all shipyard and company safety procedures.
- Wear required personal protective equipment.
- Perform general labor duties throughout the shipyard.
- Complete additional duties assigned by the supervisor.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Recent shipyard experience is required.
- Previous grinding experience is required.
- Ability to safely operate grinders and basic hand tools.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
