1st Class Maintenance Electrician
Location: Pascagoula, MS
Pay: $32.00–$34.00 per hour
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced 1st Class Maintenance Electrician to perform electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on industrial machinery, equipment, and building facilities. This position requires strong electrical troubleshooting skills and the ability to read blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical specifications. The ideal candidate will be experienced with industrial electrical systems, motors, cranes, compressors, welding machines, and related equipment.
Must-Haves
- Experience performing electrical maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematic diagrams, manuals, drawings, and specifications.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and electronic equipment using appropriate testing equipment.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and electronic/electrical testers.
- Experience replacing and repairing damaged wiring and electrical cables.
- Experience troubleshooting and replacing electrical components, including relays, switches, motors, and sensing devices.
- Ability to replace electric motor bearings and rewire motors.
- Working knowledge of applicable electrical codes and safe electrical work practices.
- Ability to diagnose electrical equipment failures and determine appropriate repairs.
- Ability to work safely and effectively in an industrial environment.
Preferred
- Experience repairing and maintaining overhead cranes.
- Experience working on crawler cranes and related heavy equipment.
- Experience repairing air compressors and welding machines.
- Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience diagnosing and replacing faulty mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic components.
- Previous maintenance experience in a shipyard, marine, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environment.
