What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concrete Cutting Operator/ Trainee position at B&D CONCRETE CUTTING?
This job description includes, but is not limited to the responsibilities listed below. The employee may be asked to take on additional tasks periodically which fit within the functional responsibilities of the job.
· All work must be completed with the level of quality expected by both B&D and the customer.
· Operator is responsible for all supplies and equipment on their truck.
o Ensure truck is properly stocked for the job prior to leaving the facility.
o All company property must be appropriately cared for and returned in the condition received, or tagged with the appropriate information.
o Company property must never be left behind on a job site or elsewhere without management approval.
o Blade cards must be turned in before receiving another blade.
· Operator must notify the Dispatcher and/or their Field Superintendent throughout the day.
o Issues or obstacles encountered.
o Inability to finish the job within the estimated work order time.
o Accident or safety incident.
· Customer requested change orders must be approved by the Dispatcher or Field Superintendent. Work tickets must be complete, accurate and signed by customer.
o Clearly write out all work performed whether included in the original work order or requested by the customer.
o Clearly note requested time milestones on the back of the work ticket.
o All standby time must be clearly noted on the front of the work ticket so that the customer can see the time they are authorizing.
o Clearly note any necessary comments.
o Ensure authorized customer representative signs the work ticket prior to leaving the job site.
· Work tickets must be turned in to the Dispatcher before leaving the facility for home. Tickets may be left in the Dispatcher’s box or turned in to the Dispatch Assistant in the event the Dispatcher is unavailable.
· Operator must follow all instructions given by the Dispatcher or Field Superintendent.
· Operators are not authorized to commit themselves or other employees of the company to additional work or expectations without management approval.
· Operators are required to do both a pre and post job inspection.
o Inspect vehicles and other equipment for safety and DOT issues, and report these to the Equipment or Shop Manager.
o Record starting and ending mileage.
· Operators are expected to work safely at all times, and to follow all safety rules at all times.
· Work times posted through the time clock must reasonably match work times noted on the back of the work ticket.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
