Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team for seasonal harvest work with the possibility of a full-time position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting agricultural products safely and efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of freight, including hopper trailers.
Duties
- Operate and drive tractor-trailer combinations for the safe transport of freight.
- Execute route driving with precision, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload cargo as necessary.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays encountered during transport.
- Follow company policies regarding safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Proven experience in truck driving.
- Familiarity with freight handling and delivery processes.
- Strong knowledge of route planning and navigation systems.
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe driving record.
