This role will be responsible for maintaining the health, stability, and compliance of enterprise Windows workstations across all networks. The position monitors Splunk dashboards for Windows Event Log anomalies, troubleshoots issues as needed, monitors and repairs MECM/CM clients, investigates build failures, and works incident tickets to resolution. The role ensures workstation build processes remain stable and reliable while proactively identifying trends that may impact performance or user experience.
The position tests and validates task sequence updates, maintains build metrics, and develops and supports Windows OS upgrades, including engineering, scripting, testing, and coordination with partner teams. Responsibilities also include creating MECM configuration items and baselines, troubleshooting unexpected OS and application issues, developing Splunk and Tanium queries to assess the scope of workstation issues, and writing one-off remediation scripts. Additionally, the role supports Accreditation and Authorization activities and assists with GPO implementations, modifications, and issue resolution to ensure compliance and operational readiness.

Required Qualifications

- Experience with troubleshooting Windows Operating System issues
- Experience with troubleshooting third-party software issues
- Experience with troubleshooting workstation build issues during development and testing
- Proficiency using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM)
- Proficiency with PowerShell
- Proficiency with Splunk
- Experience with managing user and workstation Group Policy Objects (GPOs), with a thorough understanding of inheritance, processing order, linking, filtering, etc.
- Familiarity with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and updating GPOs to align accordingly.
- Experience with customer Accreditation and Authorization (A&A) processes.
