Commercial Construction Carpenter

Responsibilities
Read and interpret project specifications/plans
Assist with project layout per architectural plans, designs and specifications
Set up jobsites by moving tools and equipment as directed
Assist with moving of jobsite materials
Demo construction sites and load construction debris in dumpsters
Install steel and wood framing
Assist with the assembly of pre-engineered buildings
Clean up jobsite tools and trucks
Safely operate scissor lifts, boom lifts, and telehandlers
Lead by example with a positive attitude, proper PPE, and safe work practice
Maintain a clean job site (clean up construction debris and sweep floors)
Qualifications
Must be reliable and must show up on time
Knowledge and understanding of general construction and terminology
Knowledge and understanding the use of carpentry tools and equipment
Self-motivated and have a desire for continued learning and personal growth
Highly detailed with excellent organization skills
Ability to think critically, innovate, and solve challenging technical problems
Positive attitude towards project challenges
Must have effective time management and logical decision-making ability
Must possess a strong work ethic, the ability to handle pressure, and meet deadlines
Able to manage heights while working on ladders and lifts
Able to identify and mitigate safety hazards
OSHA 10-hour card preferred
Compensation
Full-Time Position
Competitive hourly rate at $28.00 - $36.00 per hour, depending on experience.
