Shop Hand

Job Summary
Growing Grading & Utilities Contractor looking to hire a full-time shop/yard helper at our brand-new facility to support daily operations for our construction company. The individual will be responsible for keeping the yard, shop and equipment organized and running smoothly, support crews with materials and ensure tools and equipment are maintained and ready for use.

Responsibilities

• Organize materials, tools & equipment
• Operate basic equipment to receive deliveries of materials/equipment
• Perform minor repairs on tools and equipment
• Service small equipment as needed
• Report damaged or missing items
• Pickup materials, parts or supplies from vendors and deliver as needed
• Mow grass and maintain cleanliness of property
• Prepare equipment and tools for jobsite such as fueling, greasing, etc.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license clean driving record
• Ability to pass federal background check
• CDL Class A is preferred but not required
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs
• Basic construction and mechanical knowledge
• Ability to operate forklift, wheel loader, skid steer
• Reliable, punctual, self-directed
