About the Position
The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management of onsite construction activities. Employment Type: Full-Time (On-Site)
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise daily field operations, subcontractors, and onsite personnel.
- Ensure all work complies with project specifications, drawings, codes, and federal agency requirements.
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, inspections, material deliveries, and equipment.
- Monitor project progress and maintain the construction schedule, report changes or delays.
- Enforce strict safety standards and ensure OSHA and federal safety requirements are followed.
- Conduct daily site walks and safety meetings.
- Collaborate with the Quality Control Manager (QCM) on inspections, testing, and documentation.
- Maintain daily logs, progress reports, and field documentation.
- Identify and resolve onsite issues promptly to minimize delays and disruptions.
- Serve as the primary onsite point of contact for the government client, inspectors, and stakeholders.
- Support punch list completion, project closeout, and turnover activities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Superintendent or in a similar field leadership role.
- Experience overseeing federal construction projects (strongly preferred).
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and industry best practices.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage subcontractors effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents.
- Knowledge of federal safety requirements and construction regulations.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with daily reporting and construction management software.
- Ability to work onsite full-time and travel to project locations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications/Certifications
- Knowledge of Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS)
- OSHA 30 (required or obtained within 30 days of hire).
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- USACE CQM‑C certification.
- Additional construction industry certifications are a plus.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Professional certifications: CQE, CQA, or PMP are a plus.
Security Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a clear background check and fingerprinting prior to onboarding.
