Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, valves, and drainage components using hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts in accordance with project plans.
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed for custom pipe fittings or system modifications.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure plumbing installations adhere to building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues related to HVAC systems or other integrated building services.
- Operate heavy machinery such as pipe threaders or pipe benders safely on construction sites.
- Assist with remodeling, maintenance, and field service tasks across various commercial properties.
- Engage in heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks required for installation or repairs on construction sites.
- Read schematics and technical manuals to assemble or modify plumbing systems efficiently.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, materials, and waste disposal in compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction plumbing within commercial settings or large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, plumbing codes, schematics, and mechanical systems such as HVAC.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and pipe threading machinery.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout planning.
- Familiarity with carpentry principles useful for remodeling or structural adjustments.
- Experience with field service operations including troubleshooting and repairs on-site.
- Valid commercial driver’s license preferred for site travel; ability to operate a vehicle safely is essential.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting, climbing ladders, bending, and working in confined spaces.
- Handyman experience or prior work in remodeling projects is advantageous.
