What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Operator! position at B&B Contracting?
We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy equipment to move materials and perform construction-related tasks. You will work on a variety of projects, including site preparation, grading, and excavation.
Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment, including bulldozers, backhoes, excavators, and loaders
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment
- Ensure safety on job sites
- Follow instructions from supervisors and work collaboratively with team members
- Complete assigned tasks on schedule and within budget
- Maintain accurate records of work performed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Physical ability to perform tasks, including lifting up to 40 pounds and working in adverse weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or license in heavy equipment operation
- Experience working on construction sites
