What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brakepress Operator position at B&B Airparts, Inc.?
DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for the forming of sheet metal aluminum parts utilizing a Brake press per Customers engineering drawings and specifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Verify tooling and all engineering drawings before manufacturing part
- Load machine with work pieces
- Perform visual inspection of part and traveler
- Confirm profile, pilot holes and cut outs are to Customer drawing
- Verify accuracy of job/workmanship when performing job
- Maintain specifications by observing operations
- Adhere to all quality assurance procedures and processes
- Maintain specifications by trouble shooting processes, detecting malfunctions and taking measurements
- Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for all new and different requests
- Explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
- Meet production goals in terms of cycle time, quantity, and quality
- Miscellaneous tasks as assigned
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum two years operating a CNC Brake Press and/or Manual brake in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to read blueprints and decipher drawings
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
- Familiar with safety standards and PPE utilized in a manufacturing setting
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to work overtime when needed
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Proficient in blue print reading
- Knowledge of hand tools and precision measuring tools, such as calipers, protractors, height gages and radius gage sets
- Ability to stay on task with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and problem solving skills
- Detail oriented
