Respiratory Therapist

Role Overview: Provides respiratory therapy procedures for patients with diverse needs and abnormalities, demonstrating clinical competencies to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapy procedures timely and in accordance with best practices.
• Assess clinical information through inspection, auscultation, and review of medical records, blood gases, and labs.
• Review radiology reports and discuss patient care with physicians, offering recommendations.
• Monitor and explain patient responses to therapy, ensuring effective treatment.
• Document procedures accurately and communicate pertinent information to the healthcare team.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain respiratory equipment, ensuring proper function and cleanliness.
• Participate in clinical instruction of health students and perform additional duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapist Program (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy (preferred).
• Licenses: Respiratory Care Practitioner and Registered Respiratory Therapist (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
  
  

Skills & Experience: Strong clinical competencies, knowledge of adult and pediatric patient care, equipment management, and effective communication skills. No prior experience required.
