Registered Nurse - Per Diem

Role Overview: This position is for an experienced Registered Nurse - Infusion providing high-quality, individualized nursing care to infusion therapy patients, including those on research protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the infusion center.
• Proficiently manage vascular access, prepare and administer injectable medications and infusion agents following safety protocols.
• Perform nursing activities aligned with established policies and current standards of practice.
• Collaborate with colleagues, contribute to professional development, and incorporate research findings into practice.
• Ensure effective communication, promote safety, supervise staff, and maintain thorough documentation.
• Recognize and respond to emergency situations, fostering a safe working environment.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 1 year of staff nurse experience; infusion or hematology/oncology experience preferred.
• Associate’s in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Current Illinois Nursing license and CPR certification required.
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification strongly preferred.
