Recreation Therapist

This full-time Recreation Therapist plans and implements recreational activities for youth, supervising facilities and ensuring safety.

• Develops programs promoting healthy leisure choices, social skills, and psychomotor development, including arts, sports, drama, and community trips.
• Assists youth through role modeling, skill-building, and documenting progress in compliance with regulations.
• Supervises recreation facilities, performs maintenance, and participates in event planning.
• Supervises activities for up to three youth and contributes to treatment team meetings.
• Requires a relevant bachelor’s degree, with experience in youth recreation and certifications such as CPR and potentially lifeguard.
