Radiology Technologist MRI Weekender Nights

Role: MRI Technologist responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct patient information, ensure proper identification, and prepare patients for exams while maintaining confidentiality.
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to ensure patient safety and quality images.
• Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, evaluate image quality, and verify data transfer and storage.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and assist with MRI interventional procedures.
• Select pulse sequences based on protocols and data acquisition needs.
• Apply safety principles to minimize risks and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Perform routine and complex MRI procedures independently and assist licensed practitioners.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Certification by ARRT (MR), ARMRIT, or NMTCB with MR certification.
• Graduation from a Radiologic Technology program; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Proficiency in MRI procedures, strong attention to safety, and ability to educate others.
