Duties
- Conduct thorough medical assessments, including physical examinations and patient history reviews, to diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions.
- Develop personalized care plans that incorporate preventive medicine, health coaching, and disease management strategies.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic and EMR platforms to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate with specialists across various fields—including cardiology, endocrinology, psychiatry, dermatology, and radiology—to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Perform procedures such as suturing, basic life support (BLS), airway management, and other minor interventions within scope of practice.
- Manage inpatient and outpatient cases, including hospital medicine, post-acute care, triage, and discharge planning.
- Engage in clinical research or quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and clinical practices.
Skills
- Fluency in Spanish and English with excellent communication skills to effectively engage diverse patient populations.
- Proficiency with EMR systems like Epic or similar electronic health record platforms for documentation and data retrieval.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques across multiple specialties including cardiology, endocrinology, pulmonology, neurology, and infectious disease care.
- Experience with inpatient hospital settings, critical care environments such as ICU or neurocritical care units, and outpatient clinics.
- Ability to perform comprehensive physical examinations and assessments for pediatric through geriatric patients.
Required Qualifications:
- MD or DO with Internal Medicine specialization
- Active New Jersey Medical License
- Spanish and English fluency required
- Experience in Primary Care, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine preferred
- Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems
- Strong patient communication and clinical skills
