What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Analyst - FP&A position at Azurity Pharmaceuticals?
Azurity is looking for a Financial Analyst who will report to the Manager, FP&A and be a trusted member of the finance team. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and other business planning activities to drive transparency and accountability within the organization.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Participate in monthly close process by reviewing actuals and proposing reclasses and accruals
- Partner with accounting team to ensure proper recording of multi-period activities
- Compile monthly budget vs. actual variance reporting to highlight key risks and opportunities
- Support the creation of monthly forecasts, annual budgeting, and long-range planning activities
- Provide objective analytical support to help influence and reinforce business decisions
- Review vendor contracts to ensure alignment with budget and business requirements
- Provide support to the Manager, FP&A with ad-hoc requests for the business partners
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- 1-3 years of relevant experience is required, pharma industry is preferred
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- A robust analytical skill set and endless curiosity
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify and explain complex problems to non-finance colleagues
- Must be deadline driven, organized, and able to multi-task
