Job Title: Sr. Staff Accountant
Hours: M-F, 8:00am to 5:00pm
Salary: $71,000.00-$80,000.00
Location: Chino, California
Role Description
As the Sr. Staff Accountant, you will support the organization’s financial operations through general accounting functions, financial reporting, and analysis.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data, supports month-end and year-end close processes, and collaborates with the Finance team to deliver timely and accurate financial information.
- Oversee key accounting functions that support Azul Vision’s multi-location eye care operations. This role manages daily general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and maintenance of accurate financial records.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and monitor variances to support informed decision-making.
- Day-to-day responsibilities include managing accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows, reviewing payroll data for accuracy, and ensuring proper coding of expenses and revenues. Support month-end and year-end close processes, assists with audits, and help maintain internal controls and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with operations, revenue cycle, and leadership teams to provide clear financial insights and improve accounting processes.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
- Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience (required)
- Examples include general ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
- Experience in a healthcare or multi-entity environment (preferred)
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools (required)
