Job Summary
AZTEC is looking for a DDD Group Home Programming Services Assistant. Under the supervision of the Residential Support Coordinator, responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure accurate program documentation, write skill acquisition programs, summarization of data through completion of monthlies, completion of Phase Change Checklists, and maintaining current programmatic files of members. Additionally, complete all aspects of Psychotropic Medication Review process.
Assist in training employees to implement and monitor compre¬hensive skill acquisition programs for members. Completes direct-support job functions as needed/assigned. Indirect participation in the PCSP process.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, monitor, and update individualized behavior and skill acquisition programs aligned with PCSP goals
- Review program data, documentation, incident reports, and monthly assessments for accuracy and compliance
- Monitor program implementation in residential settings and provide coaching, remediation, and competency checks
- Coordinate and participate in PCSP meetings; address programmatic and behavioral concerns
- Prepare and maintain program books, files, and required documentation
- Train staff on program procedures, data collection, and behavior management strategies
- Assist with psychotropic medication reviews, mental health appointments, authorizations, and required reporting
- Support orientations, re-orientations, and ongoing staff development
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, safety standards, confidentiality requirements, and AZTEC policies
- Communicate effectively with administrative, clinical, and direct-support teams
- Additional duties as required or assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of skill acquisition, behavior development, and program implementation
- Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to train, supervise, and support staff
- Ability to work effectively with members, families/guardians, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
Physical & Functional Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs independently and up to 50 lbs with assistance
- Ability to perform CPR, First Aid, and approved behavior support techniques
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and remain physically active throughout the workday
Licensing & Schedule
- Valid Arizona Class D driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including outside standard office hours
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (vocational or related programs preferred)
