Vacation Rental Guest Experience & Property Inspector

AzRentahouse
Scottsdale, AZ Full Time
POSTED ON 10/9/2026 CLOSED ON 10/26/2026

What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vacation Rental Guest Experience & Property Inspector position at AzRentahouse?

Job Summary

List My Rental Home is seeking a dependable, polished, and highly detail-oriented Vacation Rental Guest Experience & Property Inspector.

This is a field-based hospitality position—not a traditional front-desk or apartment-leasing role. You will travel between luxury vacation rental homes throughout Scottsdale, Phoenix, and surrounding Valley communities to inspect properties, oversee cleaning quality, document property conditions, and personally welcome arriving guests.

You will be one of the first representatives our guests meet, so exceptional customer service, professional communication, reliability, and attention to detail are essential. The right candidate will be comfortable working independently, managing a changing daily schedule, interacting with large groups, and addressing problems quickly and professionally.

Hospitality is fast-paced, especially during weekends, holidays, and peak travel seasons. We are looking for someone who understands that environment and enjoys working in the field.

ResponsibilitiesProperty Inspections and Quality Control

  • Conduct detailed inspections before guest arrival and after guest departure.
  • Confirm that each home meets company standards for cleanliness, presentation, safety, and maintenance.
  • Follow company checklists carefully and completely.
  • Take clear, time-stamped photographs documenting the condition of each property.
  • Identify and document damages, missing items, cleaning concerns, safety hazards, and maintenance needs.
  • Verify that appliances, televisions, internet, lighting, locks, pool equipment, and major property features are functioning properly.
  • Oversee cleaning quality and coordinate corrections before guest arrival.
  • Confirm that guest supplies, household essentials, and property inventory are properly stocked.
  • Immediately communicate urgent concerns to management, cleaning, or maintenance teams.
  • Complete accurate inspection reports within required timeframes.

Guest Greeting and Check-In

  • Personally greet arriving guests at assigned vacation rental properties.
  • Create a warm, professional, and welcoming first impression.
  • Complete required guest verification procedures, including identification and payment-card verification.
  • Review house rules, property features, safety information, and guest responsibilities.
  • Obtain required signatures and acknowledgments.
  • Confidently and professionally check in families and large groups.
  • Answer questions about the home and provide helpful local recommendations.
  • Document the completed check-in and immediately report any concerns.
  • Maintain guest privacy while consistently following company procedures.

Guest Relations and Communication

  • Respond professionally to guest questions, requests, and concerns.
  • Help resolve problems calmly, efficiently, and courteously.
  • Communicate with guests by telephone, text, email, and company applications.
  • Coordinate with the operations team to ensure timely resolution of guest concerns.
  • Maintain a friendly, service-oriented demeanor while professionally enforcing property rules.
  • Assist with approved guest services, including early check-in, late checkout, pool heat, and other available upgrades when applicable.

Damage and Administrative Documentation

  • Accurately document pre-existing and guest-related damages.
  • Collect supporting photographs, notes, and other documentation needed for damage claims or guest charges.
  • Enter inspection results, guest information, notes, and photographs into company systems.
  • Assist with authorized payment processing and damage charges when directed.
  • Maintain accurate records of guest interactions and property conditions.
  • Communicate clearly with management, cleaners, maintenance personnel, and other members of the operations team.

Schedule Requirements

  • Every Sunday is mandatory.
  • Thursdays and Sundays are generally the longest field days.
  • Availability until approximately 8:00 p.m. is required on Thursdays and Sundays.
  • Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
  • Hours may increase during peak tourism periods and high-occupancy seasons.
  • Daily schedules and property assignments may change based on reservations and operational needs.
  • This position requires regular driving between properties throughout the workday.

  • Exceptional customer-service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow detailed checklists and company procedures.
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage several appointments and priorities within one day.
  • Comfortable interacting with families and large guest groups.
  • Comfortable handling difficult conversations and enforcing policies professionally.
  • Able to work independently while remaining in close communication with the team.
  • Comfortable using an iPhone, iPad, Android device, mobile applications, and web-based systems.
  • Basic administrative, data-entry, and payment-processing skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
