Duties

• Supervise daily activities to ensure safety, engagement, and adherence to program rules
• Build trusting relationships with youth through active listening, encouragement, and positive reinforcement
• Assist in implementing individualized care plans tailored to each youth’s needs and goals
• Facilitate group activities that promote social skills, emotional regulation, and personal development
• Monitor behavior and intervene appropriately to de-escalate conflicts or crises
• Document observations, incidents, and progress notes accurately and promptly
• Collaborate with team members and external professionals to support each youth’s well-being and success

Requirements

• Passion for working with youth in a residential or educational setting
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect empathetically and assertively
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations effectively
• Prior experience in social services, counseling, or related fields is preferred but not required
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts as needed
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record are advantageous
• Commitment to maintaining a safe environment that respects diversity and promotes inclusion
