Job location: Onsite (New York City, NY)
Duration: 6 Months C2H
Job Description:
Conduct thorough reviews, analyses, and evaluations of business systems and user requirements. Document the necessary requirements, define the scope and objectives, and formulate overarching business goals. Collaborate closely with a team of programmers to achieve these objectives. Additionally, work with Salesforce, Web, and AS400 developers. Ensure the quality assurance testing of the final product.
Requires 7 years of experience in business analysis and software quality control. Familiar with relational database concepts and client-server concepts. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Responsibilities:
- Determine operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements and formats
- Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications
- Improve systems by studying current practices, designing modifications
- Recommend controls by identifying problems, writing improved procedures
- Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements
- Monitor project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, and recommending actions
- Maintain user confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential
- Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Validate resource requirements and develop time estimate models
- Suggest changes to senior management, supported by analytics, to strengthen your recommendations; actively participate in the implementation of approved changes
- Create informative, actionable, and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement
- Conduct insightful, ad hoc analysis to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues
- Perform Quality Assurance testing on finished and in-development applications
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
- Salesforce, SQL, and Advanced Excel experience strongly preferred
- Showcase Query Tool, Web QA, and/or AS400 experience is a plus
- Detail-oriented, analytical, inquisitive, and professional
- Ability to work independently and with others
- Extremely organized with strong time-management skills
