What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician II or III - Wood C Crew position at AZEK Exteriors?
This position is for day shift C crew rotating 2-2-3 schedule, 6:45 PM -7:00 AM. This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment, and that the individual is able to lift a minimum of 50lbs. and can maneuver large, cumbersome product and equipment. Most roles require standing for a full shift with breaks.
The individual must have the ability to work in a manufacturing environment where temperatures can vary depending on the weather. A successful candidate must confirm their ability to perform work-related physical tasks by completing a physical abilities test.

Experience & Technical Expertise
5 yearsâ¯of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance or a related field
Proficient In Troubleshooting And Repairing
The individual must have the ability to work in a manufacturing environment where temperatures can vary depending on the weather. A successful candidate must confirm their ability to perform work-related physical tasks by completing a physical abilities test.
Core Responsibilities
- Ensures production lines and other equipment are maintained and able to run at all times
- Assists in developing and prioritizing work orders with Maintenance Manager, Production Supervision and Line Leads.
- Completes work order requests as defined by Maintenance Manager, Productions Management/Supervision, and/or Operators.
- Supports workplace organization programs (6S) and production efficiency programs (TPM).
- Assists, coaches, and trains operators in daily preventative maintenance (CIL) checks
- Supports and assists preventative maintenance process on the shift
- Contributes and assists in line commissioning after maintenance/process events
- Assists and participates with other plant projects as needed
- Operates in a manner that provides value to the team
- Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management

Experience & Technical Expertise
5 yearsâ¯of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance or a related field
Proficient In Troubleshooting And Repairing
- Electrical cabinets,â¯relays,â¯contactors, andâ¯solid-state relays/cards
- PLC and HMI systemsâ¯(troubleshooting and minor programming adjustments)
- 3-phase 480V motors,â¯24V DC control systems, andâ¯electrical tracing
- Conveyors,â¯rollers,â¯bearings, andâ¯gearboxes
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems, includingâ¯material transfer systems
- Experienced withâ¯proximity sensors,â¯photo-eyes,â¯light curtains, and basicâ¯robotics
- Strongâ¯fabrication skills: able to work in tight spaces and maintain high quality at a fast pace
- Capable ofâ¯tracking and lacing conveyor belts, clearing jams, and responding toâ¯line calls
- Performs general maintenance tasks such asâ¯filter changes,â¯cleanouts, and resolvingâ¯material transfer issues
- Arc Flash trainedâ¯with a strong understanding of electrical safety protocols
- Highlyâ¯safety-orientedâ¯with a commitment to maintaining a hazard-free work environment
- Experienced in the proper use ofâ¯Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
- Proficient with hand and power tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment
- Certified or experienced in operatingâ¯forklifts,â¯scissor lifts, andâ¯boom lifts
- Soft Skills & Abilities:

- Will meet qualification and certification requirements established by TimberTech"s Training
- Resources and Knowledge (TRAK) program
- Completion of two year Maintenance Certification course
- Stick and wire welding experience required with structural welding certification, a plus
- Forklift experience required with the ability to complete TT Forklift Certification program
