Senior Civil Project Manager

Azar Design Co is seeking a qualified Senior Project Manager with 10-15 years of relevant experience to work on a diverse portfolio of projects, including parks & greenspace, waterfronts, campuses & universities, stormwater/green infrastructure, urban public spaces, utility, and transportation infrastructure. Candidates will play a role in all phases of projects from design concepts through construction administration.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee design work for civil engineering projects that may involve site design, grading and drainage, road/pavement design, stormwater management, utility design (sanitary sewer and water), and erosion & sediment control.

• Duties may include oversight of conceptual layouts and construction drawings as well as specifications, reports, cost estimates, SWPPPs & stormwater calculations, and water/sewer design.

• Coordinate, delegate, and review work of designers. Mentor design staff.

• Oversee construction administration services, including submittal review, RFI responses, site visits, and quality control.

• Contribute to proposals and marketing materials to secure new projects.

• Build strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and project partners.

• Collaborate with diverse teams of architects, engineers, landscape architects, environmental scientists, and surveyors to bring projects to life.

Qualifications:

• Degree in civil or environmental engineering, landscape architecture, or similar.

• 10-15 years of relevant civil engineering or landscape architecture work experience.

• NYS PE, RLA, or EIT preferred

• Technical expertise: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in AutoCAD, Civil3D, or MicroStation preferred.

• Teamwork and communication: Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
