Electrical Engineer
AZAK designs and builds electric powertrains that are packaged completely within a wheel, improving mobility concepts for logistics platforms. The team has prototyped, built, and sold our first sets of S26 wheels and we are looking to grow our team and factory to support production and future product R&D.
This role will play a critical part in the design, analysis, and manufacturing of our low voltage assemblies within our wheels. This includes interfacing with commercial off the shelf products as well as our custom designs. We are entering our next phase of growth which relies upon a strong foundation of engineering rigor for design and qualification as well as a desire to extrapolate our technology into larger markets and products.
Responsibilities
- Ownership over the design, test, integration, and performance of the low voltage systems within AZAK’s product line
- Drive the full life cycle of the design and manufacturing process for low voltage assemblies, including architectural trades, component selection, analysis, schematic capture, wiring, PCB design, testing, debugging, manufacturing, and the establishment of quality assurance techniques
- Creation of test infrastructure and campaigns to enable AZAK to qualify and test our designs
- Root cause failure analysis and corrective action with either design or process changes
- Work with production teams to streamline manufacturing and checkouts for integration of PCBs, harnesses, and commercial off the shelf components
Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in relevant fields of engineering
- Excellent communicator with a team and growth mindset
- Demonstrated ability to take conceptual ideas and transform into realized products through engineering rigor
- Ability to perform manufacturing operations when required
- Self-starter with high accountability
- Willingness to work full-time on-site with the team in Denver, CO
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
