Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Azad Plastic Surgery in our Pre- Op /OR /Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care during surgical procedure as well as the recovery phase . This role requires a strong background in nursing, with a focus on sterile technique, monitoring patients' vital signs, administering medications, and ensuring a safe and comfortable recovery environment. The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care tailored to each patient's needs.
Position is 3 days a week Mondays , Wednesdays & Thursdays ( approximately 36 hours)
Responsibilities include but not limited
- Pre-op patients' prior to surgical procedures
- Circulate surgical procedures and administer septic technique in all procedures to prevent infection.
- Administer medications as prescribed and manage medications protocols
- Provide health coaching and education to patients and their families regarding post-operative care.
- Document patient progress and communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding any changes in condition.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition post-op
Experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Experience in out patient facility a plus
- Experience in plastics a plus
- PACU experience required
- ICU /ER experience a plus
- Strong skills in medication administration and understanding of pharmacology.
