About the Role
Seeking a strong Technical Program Manager to support developer tools and SDKs for Android XR (VR headsets & smart glasses). This role drives execution, planning, and cross-functional coordination for Jetpack XR libraries used by third-party Android developers.
Fast-paced environment; ideal for a self-starter who thrives in high-volume coordination and structured program management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage weekly cross-functional syncs across Engineering, Product, and partner teams.
- Track deliverables, risks, dependencies, and escalate issues proactively.
- Lead 4-week planning cycles (pre-planning, deep-dive costing, commitments).
- Run bi-weekly feature review (“bacterias”) meetings and maintain follow-ups.
- Coordinate with Immersive Google Apps teams on SDK dependencies.
- Represent Jetpack XR in broader XR forums and relay updates to stakeholders.
- Support early-access developer programs and partner integrations.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Strong program/project management experience in technical environments.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and meeting management skills.
- Ability to operate in fast-paced, highly cross-functional programs.
- Understanding of Android or embedded systems at a high level (SDKs, system constraints, release cycles).
- Highly organized, self-driven, and able to ramp quickly.
Nice-to-Have
- Kotlin/Java or Android development familiarity.
- Experience building or managing SDKs for device platforms (Google Home, Alexa, XR/VR).
- XR/AR/VR ecosystem exposure.
