About the Role

Seeking a strong Technical Program Manager to support developer tools and SDKs for Android XR (VR headsets & smart glasses). This role drives execution, planning, and cross-functional coordination for Jetpack XR libraries used by third-party Android developers.

Fast-paced environment; ideal for a self-starter who thrives in high-volume coordination and structured program management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage weekly cross-functional syncs across Engineering, Product, and partner teams.
• Track deliverables, risks, dependencies, and escalate issues proactively.
• Lead 4-week planning cycles (pre-planning, deep-dive costing, commitments).
• Run bi-weekly feature review (“bacterias”) meetings and maintain follow-ups.
• Coordinate with Immersive Google Apps teams on SDK dependencies.
• Represent Jetpack XR in broader XR forums and relay updates to stakeholders.
• Support early-access developer programs and partner integrations.

Must-Have Qualifications

• Strong program/project management experience in technical environments.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and meeting management skills.
• Ability to operate in fast-paced, highly cross-functional programs.
• Understanding of Android or embedded systems at a high level (SDKs, system constraints, release cycles).
• Highly organized, self-driven, and able to ramp quickly.

Nice-to-Have

• Kotlin/Java or Android development familiarity.
• Experience building or managing SDKs for device platforms (Google Home, Alexa, XR/VR).
• XR/AR/VR ecosystem exposure.
