Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Progressive Care Nurse to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care tailored to patients' individual needs within the progressive care unit
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and observe patient responses to treatments
- Assist with diagnostic procedures and coordinate patient assessments alongside medical staff
- Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medication regimes, and post-discharge care
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient progress and interventions in accordance with hospital policies
- Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions, escalating concerns as necessary
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly adhered to, maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes
Skills
- Proven experience in patient care within a hospital or clinical setting, preferably in a specialised unit such as intensive or cardiac care
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology relevant to adult patient care
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently under pressure
- Compassionate approach with outstanding communication skills for engaging with patients, families, and colleagues
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency in clinical documentation systems and adherence to healthcare regulations
