Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct a wide range of laboratory tests in biochemistry, microbiology, haematology, and other specialised areas.
- Prepare and process specimens accurately while adhering to strict safety and quality standards.
- Analyse test results using advanced IT systems and interpret data for clinical relevance.
- Maintain detailed records of all procedures, calibrations, and quality control activities.
- Operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, ensuring optimal functionality at all times.
- Collaborate with medical staff to discuss findings and provide technical support as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the laboratory environment.
- Assist in training junior staff or interns when required, promoting best practices in laboratory procedures.
Experience
- Proven laboratory experience in a clinical setting is essential.
- Proficiency in IT systems related to laboratory information management is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of biochemistry and other specialised testing techniques will be advantageous.
- Strong communication skills in English are required for effective reporting and teamwork.
- Valid driving licence is preferred for travelling between sites or laboratories if necessary.
