Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs aligned with construction workplace safety regulations and ANSI standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards related to electrical safety procedures, occupational health risks, and general construction activities.
- Lead safety training sessions for staff on topics such as OSHA compliance, NFPA standards, first aid and CPR procedures, and construction management software usage.
- Manage risk assessments and mitigation strategies to reduce incidents related to workers' compensation claims and occupational health issues.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with NEC (National Electrical Code), OSHA standards, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers to integrate safety protocols into daily operations and monitor ongoing compliance management efforts.
- Investigate accidents or near-misses thoroughly, document findings accurately, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain detailed records of safety audits, incident reports, training logs, and regulatory compliance documentation for internal review and external audits.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction site safety management with a strong understanding of construction regulation compliance including OSHA, ANSI standards, NFPA standards, and occupational health best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead safety training initiatives effectively across diverse teams in fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with construction management software and compliance management tools to track safety metrics and regulatory adherence.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical safety procedures and construction workplace safety regulations specific to the industry.
- Prior experience in risk management strategies related to workers' compensation claims and occupational health issues within the construction sector.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence positive safety behaviors among team members at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to perform detailed site inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigations with meticulous attention to detail.
