Tier 2 Vehicle Wrap & PPF Installer

This is not a “we need a body” ad.

AZ Rag is the premium vehicle wrap and paint protection shop in the Southeast. We are 3M Certified, we are booked out, and we are picky. We are looking for one exceptional installer. If you are the best installer at your current shop and you know it, keep reading. If you are looking for a place to get by, this is not it.

We wrap everything from exotics and off-road rigs to full commercial fleets, and we photograph almost all of it because the work holds up. We want someone who can add to that portfolio, not water it down.

Who we are hunting

An installer who is both flawless and fast. Not one or the other. We measure both, and we reward both.

• Flawless: tight seams, clean edges, no lifting, no silvering, nothing you would not put your name on.
• Fast: you move the board without cutting corners, and it shows in your paycheck.

If your work needs a redo, if you are careful but slow, or if you are quick but sloppy, we are not the right fit. If you are the person other installers ask for help, we should talk.

PPF is a real part of this role

We continue to grow our paint protection film side, and we want an installer who can hit the ground running. PPF experience is strongly preferred. If you are an elite wrap installer who is trainable on PPF, tell us. Either way, PPF is not an afterthought here; it is part of where we are going.

What you will do

• Install full and partial wraps, color changes, and commercial fleet graphics to a finished standard we are proud to show off.
• Install and help grow our PPF work.
• Own quality on your jobs, from prepped vehicle to final QC. No rework.
• Set the pace for the crew and, over time, mentor and cross-train other installers.
• Travel occasionally for on-site fleet and commercial installs.

What you need

• Real experience on real vehicles. 3 years installing full and partial wraps (3M, Avery, Oracal, KPMF, or similar). Certified, or a portfolio that proves you are certified-level.
• A portfolio of your own installs (photos or video). We hire on work, not resumes.
• Two references who can speak to your speed and your rework rate, not just that you are a nice person.
• Comfortable with heat guns, knives, squeegees, and plotters.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willing to prove it on a paid trial install before we both commit.

This is a senior role. If you need someone standing over you, this is not your seat.

Comp and where this goes

We do not offer a base, and here is why: our bounty pays better than a base ever could for someone who excels. If you are fast and clean, you will out-earn hourly work anywhere in this market. If you are slow, you will not like it here. That is the point.

• Per-job bounty, no cap. Your paycheck follows your output.
• Real numbers: our installers who lock in have gone from the typical install wage to the equivalent of the high $30s to $40 an hour. The better and faster you are, the more you make. There is no ceiling.
• A real path to lead the install floor as we grow. Scheduling, QC, and cross-training, if you want it.
• Relocation assistance to get you to Knoxville.
• 4-day work week, with the freedom to work as much as you want past that.
• Tools and supplies provided. Ongoing certifications, including PPF.
• A shop that takes the craft seriously and pays its best people like it.

Pay: $25.54 - $40.00 per hour
