Role Description
This is a contract, on-site role in the United States for a Medical Interpreter. The Medical Interpreter will facilitate clear communication between patients and healthcare professionals by providing accurate and culturally sensitive interpretation. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing consecutive medical interpretations, translating medical information, ensuring accurate use of medical terminology, and maintaining confidentiality in all interpreted and translated communications. Effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patients will be a key component of the role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Medical Interpretation and Interpreting
- Strong command Consecutive Interpretation techniques
- Extensive knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Ability to deliver accurate and culturally sensitive interpretations in professional healthcare settings
- Fluency in English and at least one other language serviced by AZ Language Services
- Professional certification in medical interpretation is highly preferred
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in a healthcare or medical setting is an advantage
