What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Research Consultant (Health Care Market Research) position at AZ HR Hub?
Darwin Research Group is growing! We’re seeking a Senior Research Consultant to lead complex research engagements from strategy through delivery and turn meaningful insights into recommendations that drive client decisions.
About Us
Darwin Research Group, located in Scottsdale, Arizona, is a research and consulting firm that focuses on health care delivery models. We specialize in conducting comprehensive analyses of health systems, physician groups, and emerging payer models such as accountable care organizations and bundled payments. Our goal is to help our clients better understand the health care ecosystem and succeed in the ever-changing landscape. Our clients include pharmaceutical companies and medical device manufacturers.
About the Position
The Senior Research Consultant owns Darwin's most complex research engagements from scoping through delivery and sets the methodological standard for other consultants. You will design and run both qualitative and quantitative studies, translate the findings into clear recommendations for commercial, market access, brand, and medical affairs teams, and present your insights and recommendations to senior client stakeholders. Beyond project work, you will mentor research consultants and help win and expand client relationships.
The ideal candidate is an experienced researcher who wants real ownership in a growing firm: someone rigorous with data, comfortable with ambiguity, and energized by both the research and the clients it serves.
Starting Salary Range: $107,000 - $118,000 annually
Schedule: Full-time; Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week

Choose the right method for each question and combine qualitative and quantitative evidence where it strengthens the answer.
- Present findings directly to senior client stakeholders and field questions on methodology, implications, and next steps.
- Partner with Sales and Account Management to shape proposals, scope custom projects, and identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts.
- Review the work of research consultants for analytic rigor and quality; mentor and train the team on methods, workflows, and client communication.
- Partner with Research Leaders on operational efficiencies, process improvements, and new product and service ideas.

- Demonstrated expertise in quantitative methods: survey design, sampling, data cleaning, and statistical analysis, with proficiency in Excel and at least one analytic tool such as SPSS, R, Python, or Stata.
- Proven ability to integrate primary research, survey data, and secondary sources into a single, coherent point of view.
