Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques for clients with autism spectrum disorders and other neurodevelopmental conditions
- Support clients during intake assessments, therapy sessions, and daily activities to promote engagement and progress
- Monitor vital signs and observe behavioral changes to inform treatment adjustments
- Administer medication under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Utilize crisis management and de-escalation techniques to ensure safety during challenging situations
- Collect data on client behaviors, progress, and responses to interventions for accurate medical documentation
- Maintain patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA standards and safeguarding sensitive medical records
Qualifications
- Experience working with children, individuals with developmental disabilities, or neurodiverse populations such as autism spectrum disorder or substance use disorders
- Knowledge of mental health and behavioral care practices, including crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Familiarity with medical terminology, EHR/EHR management systems, and HIPAA compliance for maintaining patient records
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to work compassionately with youth and individuals with disabilities in a fast-paced environment
- First aid and CPR certification preferred but not required; willingness to obtain upon hire is a plus
- Demonstrated commitment to patient care, data collection accuracy, and maintaining confidentiality
