Job Summary
Ayur Home Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. This role involves working with patients across different settings, including outpatient clinics, home health, schools, acute care facilities, and geriatric populations.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ physical and mental capabilities to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients’ daily living skills.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and strategies for improvement.
- Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide support in various settings, including outpatient clinics, home health environments, schools, acute care facilities, and ICU units.
- Utilize knowledge of physiology to inform therapy practices and enhance patient outcomes.
- Stay updated on best practices in occupational therapy and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Qualifications
- A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or certification as required.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and its application in patient care.
- Experience or familiarity with speech therapy techniques is a plus.
- Previous experience working with geriatrics is preferred.
- Ability to provide care in settings such as home health.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to enhancing the lives of patients through effective therapy.
- CPR certification
