JOB SUMMARY:
The primary duties of the Night Auditor are to check front office accounting records for accuracy, compile information for the financial records, assist guests with check-in & check-out processes, provide guests with hotel services information, and accommodate guests during their stay in an attentive, courteous and friendly manner.
The primary duties of the Guest Service Representative are to assist guests with check-in & check-out processes, provide guests with hotel services information, and accommodate guests during their stay in an attentive, courteous and friendly manner the Ayres Way.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other job duties may be assigned.
- Procedures including but not limited to posting all charges, and counting/ securing assigned bank.
- Maintain the security of cash, credit card transactions, and guest information.
- Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions in accordance with front office
- Balance the computer system posting against the department balances and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Complete daily auditing, balancing, and closing procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Run all audit reports. Complete reporting requirements including daily report.
- Accurately manage cash drawer and credit card system.
- Managing front desk activity and handling guest check-ins and check-outs in a courteous and pleasant manner.
- Work in a safe and conscientious manner.
- Adhere to all safety policies and security procedures, including but not limited to securing doors during appropriate hours.
- Make reservations as needed both in person and over the phone and ensuring to provide accurate hotel rates and information with proper phone etiquette.
- Register guests and issue room keys to registered hotel guest
- Conduct self in a friendly and attentive manner during all guest encounters.
- Operate phone system in, at times, a fast-paced environment.
- Communicate pertinent shift information to the next shift and direct supervisor.
- Maintain guest confidentiality.
- Knowledge, understanding, and adherence to Company Core Values and Mission Statement.
- Responsible for working in a safe and conscientious manner.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess a positive, outgoing and friendly personality.
- Ability to provide excellent guest service.

- Guest service experience in the hospitality industry or equivalent, preferred
