Our good-faith compensation approach is fair and equitable, and takes into consideration only permissible factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, training, skills, and experience, and geographic location where the work is performed. A salary range for this posting is $80000 - $115000. The foregoing salary range represents what the company believes, in good-faith, it will pay for the posted opportunity. On Any Given Day, You Will
- Work under the supervision of an experienced structural engineer to design and prepare plans for hydraulic structures.
- Perform structural design and analysis of steel or concrete structures utilizing computer software.
- Evaluate and analyze existing hydraulic structures.
- Assist inspecting FERC regulated dams.
- Check plan details; and prepare cost estimates, technical reports and specifications for repair and rehabilitation of existing dams and design of new structure elements for existing dams.
- Assist with construction administration including observation.
- Work with nationally known firm designing floating bulkheads.
- Participate in field investigations of existing dams.
- A bachelor's degree or a master’s degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering with at least 4 years of experience in the design, detailing, and analysis of steel and concrete structures.
- Registration as a professional engineer in Wisconsin (or ability to be registered within six months).
- Experience with design and rehabilitation of concrete and steel structures similar to those expected on dams.
- Experience with structural design and detailing software.
- Experience with AutoCAD, SLOPE/W, SEEP/W, MathCAD, and STAAD Pro is desired.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
