Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential and commercial spaces, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, carpet cleaning, and outdoor work as needed
• Implement proper sanitation procedures to ensure hygiene standards are met across all areas
• Operate various cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and carpet extractors efficiently and safely
• Handle laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items
• Use appropriate cleaning detergents and chemicals while adhering to safety guidelines for manual handling and heavy lifting
• Maintain cleanliness of all surfaces by dusting and disinfecting in accordance with health standards
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand specific cleaning needs and provide excellent customer service
• Manage time efficiently to complete assigned tasks within designated schedules while maintaining high-quality standards
• Follow housekeeping management protocols for residential cleaning projects and janitorial procedures for commercial sites

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial work is preferred; outdoor work experience is a plus
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, carpet cleaning, sanitation practices, and surface disinfection
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, steam cleaners, and laundry machines
• Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform manual handling tasks effectively
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for managing multiple tasks efficiently
• Good communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in residential or commercial environments
• Flexibility to adapt to different cleaning assignments and schedules
