Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Transport Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various driving roles, including shuttle driving, delivery driving, and commercial driving. This position requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting as needed. The Transport Driver will be responsible for ensuring safe and timely transportation of passengers or goods while maintaining high standards of service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate vehicles for shuttle services, deliveries, or paratransit needs.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine maintenance checks to ensure safety.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while adhering to company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding schedules and any changes.
- Assist with heavy lifting as required during deliveries or passenger assistance.
- Document any incidents or issues that arise during transport.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in shuttle driving, delivery driver roles, or commercial driving is preferred.
- Familiarity with bus driving or school bus driving is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to interact with passengers and team members effectively.
- Ability to perform maintenance checks on vehicles and report issues promptly.
- Excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for all passengers.
- Capability to handle heavy lifting when necessary.
