Duties
- Engage with customers in both English and Spanish (or other specified languages) to understand their needs and recommend appropriate products or services
- Assist customers with retail sales transactions, including cash handling, cashiering, and cash management duties
- Process financial transactions accurately using retail and financial software systems
- Support banking-related activities such as deposit processing, account inquiries, and basic loan processing when applicable
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Maintain knowledge of store products, promotions, and financial services to effectively inform and upsell customers
- Handle retail math calculations confidently for sales totals, discounts, and cash reconciliation
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales or customer service environments
- Familiarity with banking or financial services is a plus
- Strong communication skills in both English and the second language (e.g., Spanish) with the ability to connect with diverse customers
- Basic math skills including retail math, cash handling, and 10-key typing proficiency
- Knowledge of financial software applications used for transactions and account management
- Ability to perform cashiering duties accurately while managing cash flow and cash management procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proactive attitude toward customer engagement and problem-solving
