We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Dermatology Physician Assistant to join our growing practice.
Job Description:
The Dermatology Physician Assistant will provide comprehensive medical dermatologic care to our patients . This role involves diagnosing and treating a wide range of skin conditions, performing minor dermatologic procedures, and educating patients on skin health, prescription management and disease prevention.
Key Responsibilities:
— Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and physical examination.
Diagnose and treat various dermatological conditions such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, and skin cancer.
— Perform dermatologic procedures, including biopsies, cryotherapy, and medication injections.
— Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
— Prescribe medications and therapies as appropriate.
— Educate patients on skincare, preventive measures, and treatment options.
— Collaborate with dermatologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of care.
— Maintain accurate, timely and up-to-date patient records using Modernizing Medicine (EMA) electronic medical record system.
— Stay current with the latest advancements in dermatology and attend dermatology specific continuing education programs.
Qualifications:
— Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program
NCCPA certification
— Current and valid state license as a Physician Assistant in Florida
— Minimum of 3 years of experience in Medical Dermatology
— Current enrollment/recent completion of SDPA Diplomate Fellowship Training Program
— Strong clinical skills in dermatologic diagnosis and treatment
— Proficiency in performing dermatologic procedures
— Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
— Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
— Compassionate and patient-focused with a strong commitment to providing high-quality care
