Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Property & Housekeeping Manager to oversee the daily operations, cleanliness, and overall presentation of three short-term rental properties (44 suites total, all in close proximity).
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong attention to detail, team management, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has a background in hospitality or hotel management and takes pride in maintaining high standards and delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily housekeeping operations across all properties
- Develop and enforce cleaning standards, schedules, and operational procedures
- Lead, train, and supervise housekeeping staff, including hiring and performance management
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure all units meet quality and presentation standards
- Identify and address maintenance issues promptly to maintain property condition
- Manage inventory of supplies, linens, and equipment with a focus on cost control
- Coordinate laundry operations to ensure efficiency and consistency
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Collaborate with ownership/management on operational improvements and special projects
- Manage guest communication and ensure a high level of customer service
- Maintain accountability for property readiness, turnover efficiency, and guest satisfaction
Qualifications
- Proven experience in housekeeping, hospitality, or property management
- Strong leadership and team management experience
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Ability to manage multiple properties and priorities simultaneously
- Experience with cleaning operations, laundry systems, and supply management
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills (staff and guest interaction)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
Compensation
- Base Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 (based on experience)
- Performance Bonus: Up to $5,000 annually based on:
- Cleanliness inspection scores
- Guest reviews (cleanliness rating)
- Operational efficiency (turnover times, staffing performance)
High performers will be rewarded.
Schedule
- Full-time position
- Must be available weekends and holidays as needed
- Typical schedule: 5-6 days per week, with flexibility based on occupancy and operations
- On-call availability for urgent issues
