Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled X-Ray Tech to work on an 8-week assignment in Patchogue, NY. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience and be licensed to practice in the state. Responsibilities include performing x-rays, taking radiographs, and assisting patients as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality x-ray imaging procedures using portable and stationary equipment
- Take radiographs of various body parts, including chest, abdomen, spine, and extremities
- Assist patients with positioning and comfort during exams
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and exam results
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care
Requirements
- State licensure as an X-Ray Tech
- ARRT (R) certification
- Experience working in adult acute care, outpatient, ER, ICU, operating room, and other settings
- Familiarity with bedside/portable procedures, C-arm procedures, and infection prevention protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
