What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trauma Registrar position at Aya Healthcare?
Short-Term Contract – Trauma Registrar (Remote | 1 week, possibly 2 weeks)
We are seeking an experienced Trauma Registrar for an urgent, short-term remote assignment (1 week, possibly 2 weeks). This role is designed for immediate support on backlog, audit prep, or data cleanup efforts.
This is not a training role. You will be expected to log in and contribute on day one.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform high-volume trauma case abstraction and data entry
- Accurately apply AIS coding and ISS scoring
- Ensure data aligns with TQIP standards and reporting requirements
- Review cases for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Support backlog reduction, audit readiness, or registry cleanup
- Work independently to meet tight turnaround expectations
What We’re Looking For:
- Recent, hands-on trauma registry experience (required)
- TQIP experience (required)
- Strong working knowledge of:
- AIS coding
- ISS scoring
- Trauma workflows
- Experience with trauma registry systems (Collector, DI, TraumaBase, or similar)
- Ability to work quickly and accurately with minimal oversight
Assignment Details:
- Duration: 1 week, possibly 2 weeks (project-based, urgent need)
- Location: Onsite in Michigan
Pay: $65.00 - $80.00 per hour

- High school or equivalent (Required)
