Job Details:
JOB TITLE: Sr Financial Analyst
CONTRACT DURATION: 30 weeks
SHIFT: Monday-Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
LOCATION: New York, NY
ONBOARDING TIME: Expect 3-5 weeks from offer acceptance to start date.
Financial Analyst Requirements/Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree (R)
Experience:
Three to five years of previous work related experience (R)
Knowledge of Reimbursement Methodologies (R)
Knowledge of Budgeting & Cost Accounting (R)
Key Responsibilities:
Works with hospital executives, chiefs of service and department heads in the analysis of spending patterns
revenue performance, development of cost center budgets and the implementation of cost containment programs
and revenue enhancement opportunities.
Analyzes cost center staffing levels and expenses and develops standards with which to distribute resources.
Develops reporting systems for monitoring and controlling expenditures and revenues.
Oversees the development of functional and specification for systems applications to plan, monitor and control
salary and non-salary spending and revenue performance.
Analyzes third party reimbursement rates and regulations as they relate to operating and capital budget issues.
Develops and prepares financial profitability analyses. Develops and analyzes business plans for new programs
and capital proposals. Makes recommendations regarding requests, as appropriate.
May provide training or work direction to ass igned staff, as needed.
Assists in the formulation of specific department goals and objectives and monitoring of activities to ensure
achievement of goals and objectives. Participate in the formulation of hospital/budget policies and procedures.
Develops and/or modifies policies and procedures to recommend to management.
Performs other job related duties as assigned.
